Lucas Bambozzi

Lucas Bambozzi is an artist whose practice spans video, installation, audiovisual performance, interactive media, and site-specific projects. Working at the intersection of art, technology, and public space, he explores the social and political dimensions of contemporary media, investigating how digital infrastructures, urban environments, and moving images shape collective experience and cultural memory.
His work has been presented in more than forty countries. Recent projects include the award-winning feature film Lavra (2023), the solo exhibition Solastalgia at MAC USP, which attracted more than 120,000 visitors, and the documentary Sunday at the Coup (2024), created in collaboration with Giselle Beiguelman. Alongside his artistic practice, he has developed and curated influential initiatives including arte.mov, Labmovel, ON_OFF, Visualismo, Multitude, and AVXLab, contributing to the development of media art in Brazil and internationally.
Bambozzi holds an MPhil from the University of Plymouth and a PhD from the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism of the University of São Paulo (FAU-USP). He is Professor at Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado (FAAP) in São Paulo, where he continues to combine artistic production with research, teaching, and curatorial practice.
