Kostis Stafylakis is a visual artist, curator, writer, and Assistant Professor of Fine Arts, Expanded Media and Forms at the Athens School of Fine Arts. Working across installation, moving image, writing, and curatorial practice, his work explores the intersections of internet culture, political imaginaries, mimicry, and contemporary forms of ideology.

Drawing on critical theory, philosophy, and digital aesthetics, he examines how online subcultures, conspiracy narratives, and visual cultures shape collective memory and political subjectivities.

His work has been presented internationally in solo and group exhibitions, including GZPRM GOPNIK at KEIV Athens and The Eye Altering, On an Island at K-Gold Temporary Gallery, Readiness: Civil War (with Theo Triantafyllidis) at Panke Gallery Berlin, as well as exhibitions at Bureau Europa Maastricht, the Onassis Foundation, the Palais de Tokyo, NGBK Berlin, the Moscow Biennale, and the Athens Biennale. As a curator, he has co-curated projects including The Outburst of the Digital Swamp at Overkill Festival and the 4th and 6th Athens Biennale.

Stafylakis holds a PhD in Political Science from Panteion University and teaches contemporary art, internet culture, and politics in the postgraduate programmes of the Athens School of Fine Arts. Alongside his artistic practice, he publishes extensively on contemporary art, digital culture, and political theory.
