Yara Richter is the name of an art collective consisting of Ra Eola, El-i Teer, K@ka Pi$tol, Yara Sara Goldini, and Immanuel Cunt. Formerly the name of a single artist, the collective now shares Yara's name, body, time, and institutional visibility as a collaborative artistic practice.
Working across sound, text, performance, and collective action, they explore black noise as a framework for imagining intersectional ecofeminist and decolonial forms of art, knowledge, and cultural production. Their work investigates how Blackness, queerness, care, and institutional critique can generate alternative artistic and social infrastructures.
The collective's projects have been presented in exhibitions, performances, and public programmes including Conditions of a Necessity at Staatliche Kunsthalle Baden-Baden, Württembergischer Kunstverein Stuttgart, Haus für Poesie Berlin, the ifa Gallery Stuttgart, and CURRENT – Kunst und Urbaner Raum. Works such as MFA (Master of Filthy Arts) and black noise examine the racialized conditions of cultural institutions while proposing collective and performative strategies of resistance.
Alongside their artistic practice, the collective is engaged in anti-racist education, community-based workshops, and public discourse on decolonial cultural practices, queer ecologies, and Afro-German histories. Rather than centering artistic authorship, Yara Richter increasingly directs its creative resources toward spaces that foreground Black, queer, and mad communities.
