Sara Morais dos Santos Bruss is a cultural and media theorist, researcher, and curator for scientific, digital, and media practices at HKW – Haus der Kulturen der Welt in Berlin. Her work explores the intersections of feminist and anti-colonial art, digital technologies, and political imaginaries, with a particular focus on how narratives of human and more-than-human subjectivity are shaped through emerging media.

Through research, curatorial practice, and writing, she investigates alternative genealogies of artificial intelligence and the ideological infrastructures that underpin contemporary technologies.

Alongside her curatorial work, Morais dos Santos Bruss has published and lectured internationally on digital forms of fascization, the politics of generative AI, AI slop, and feminist and queer practices of solidarity within and against digital cultures. Her work contributes to critical debates on technology, memory, power, and contemporary media ecologies.

Morais dos Santos Bruss is a board member of diffrakt. Centre for Theoretical Periphery, an interdisciplinary platform for critical theory and artistic research. Living and working in Berlin, she continues to develop curatorial and research projects that bring together contemporary art, critical media studies, and digital culture.
