HUNITI GOLDOX is the artist duo of Areej Huniti and Eliza Goldox, based between Leipzig and Amman. Working across virtual reality, moving image, installation, digital reenactment, writing and participatory research, their work investigates how political infrastructures, histories of violence and ecological transformations become inscribed in water, landscapes and imagination.
Drawing on marginalised oral histories, mythology and speculative storytelling, their immersive works invite audiences to negotiate alternative relationships between humans, environments, and more-than-human worlds.
Their work has been presented internationally at Hauser & Wirth Menorca, the Institute for Postnatural Studies in Madrid, Manifesta 14 Prishtina, TBA Academy / Ocean Uni, Tirana Art Lab, D21, Sheffield Film Festival, Biennale Mediterranea, SomoS Art House, SPARC*, Darat al Funun, MMAG Foundation, and the Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts. Recent presentations include the exhibition Water Views at the VU ART & Science Gallery Amsterdam and participation in the Sonic Acts Biennial 2026.
Through collaborative artistic research, Huniti Goldox explores ecological memory, hydro-politics, and the interconnectedness of human and more-than-human histories. Their projects create immersive environments that challenge extractive worldviews and imagine new forms of collective care, resistance, and coexistence in times of ecological and political transformation.
