VideoClub is a Chilean cultural platform dedicated to experimental film, video art, and live audiovisual practices. Founded in Valparaíso in 2021 by visual artist Belén Mallol and anthropologist Vicente Barriga, the platform creates spaces for artistic experimentation, critical exchange, and collective learning at the intersection of moving image, performance, and contemporary art.

Through screenings, exhibitions, workshops, performances, and public programmes, VideoClub explores how audiovisual practices can foster new forms of encounter, memory, and social imagination.

Emerging in the aftermath of the Chilean social uprising of 2019, VideoClub was conceived as a space for artistic refuge and collaboration, responding to the lack of platforms for experimental, queer, and non-academic artistic practices. Since then, it has developed an international network of artists, filmmakers, curators, and collaborators, promoting underrepresented voices and creating opportunities for cross-cultural dialogue and collective production.

Grounded in decolonial, feminist, and ecological perspectives, VideoClub approaches moving-image culture as both an artistic and political practice. Its programmes foreground sensory and poetic forms of storytelling that challenge dominant narratives and open new perspectives on contemporary social realities, cultural memory, and collective futures.
